1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using BacoInVeritas ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the App. Use of BacoInVeritas is restricted exclusively to persons of legal drinking age in their country of residence (18 or 21 years, depending on applicable law).

2. Age Verification

BacoInVeritas is a platform dedicated to alcoholic beverages. By registering, you confirm that you are of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction. The App requires you to enter your date of birth upon first launch. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts of users who falsify their age or are found to be underage. The App is rated 17+ (Apple App Store) and Adult (Google Play).

3. User-Generated Content

The App allows users to post reviews, ratings, photos, comments, and other content ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you agree to the following: • You are solely responsible for all content you upload, including photos, reviews, and comments. • You grant BacoInVeritas a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content within the App. • You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to all User Content you post, and that it does not violate any third party's intellectual property rights. • The App owner is not liable for User Content posted by users. We do not endorse or verify the accuracy of user-submitted reviews or photos. Prohibited Content: You must not upload content that is: • Offensive, hateful, defamatory, or harassing • Illegal or promoting illegal activities • Copyrighted material you do not own or have rights to • Sexually explicit or violent • False or misleading • Spam or commercial advertising Violations may result in content removal and account termination.

4. DMCA / Copyright Complaint Process

If you believe your copyrighted work has been copied and posted on the App in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice through the in-app Contact Us page (Settings > Help & Support > Contact Us). Subject: DMCA Takedown Notice Your notice must include: • Identification of the copyrighted work • URL or location of the infringing material on the App • Your contact information (name, address, email, phone) • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is unauthorized • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf • Your physical or electronic signature We will process takedown requests within 48 hours of receipt.

5. Content Moderation

In accordance with Apple App Store Guideline 1.2 and Google Play policies: • Before a review is published, its text and your display name are automatically screened by an AI system; reviews that fail this screening are rejected and never appear publicly. • Users can report inappropriate content via the "Report" button available on all user-generated photos, reviews, and comments. • Users can block other users to prevent further interactions. • Our admin team reviews all reports and may remove flagged content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms. • We reserve the right to filter, remove, or restrict access to any content that violates these Terms.

6. Privacy and Data

We collect usage data, beverage preferences, and in-app behavior to improve our recommendations. Your personal data will not be sold to third parties. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from Settings > Delete Account. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Purchases and Third-Party Services

BacoInVeritas facilitates the discovery of beverages and may redirect to external retailers (e.g., Total Wine, Drizly, Amazon). These transactions occur entirely outside our platform. We are not responsible for prices, availability, return policies, or any conditions of external retailers. Any dispute with a third-party provider must be resolved directly with that provider.

8. Intellectual Property

All App content, including design, logos, text, images, and recommendation algorithms, is the exclusive property of BacoInVeritas or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Reproduction, in whole or in part, without prior written authorization is prohibited.

8a. Affiliate Links and External Stores

BacoInVeritas does not sell alcohol or any other product directly. The App includes links to external, independently operated stores (such as Total Wine, ReserveBar, Amazon, Vivino, Instacart, and ABC Fine Wine & Spirits) to help you find where a beverage may be purchased. When you follow one of these links and make a purchase, BacoInVeritas may receive an affiliate commission from the store at no extra cost to you. Prices, stock, shipping, and availability are set and controlled entirely by each store and may vary by your location; we do not guarantee their accuracy. Any purchase, payment, delivery, or return is a transaction between you and that store, not with BacoInVeritas.

9. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer

BacoInVeritas provides information about alcoholic beverages for educational and entertainment purposes only. The App owner is not liable for: • Purchasing decisions based on our recommendations • Health effects or consequences of alcohol consumption • Damages arising from the use of the App • Accuracy of prices, ratings, or availability information DRINK RESPONSIBLY: Alcohol consumption can be dangerous to your health. Never drink and drive. Do not consume alcohol if you are pregnant, taking medication, or under the legal drinking age. The information provided is approximate and subject to change.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings > Delete Account. This will permanently remove your account and all associated data, including cellar items, reviews, and preferences. Deleted items are retained in a "Recently Deleted" section for 30 days, after which they are permanently removed.

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use of BacoInVeritas after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
